The Chinese call it "Li Bai Ji" and use it to counteract cardiovascular diseases and as a diuretic.
It was not until the 1970s that the plant got to be known in the West. Traditionally, the regular use of Tribulus stabilizes the emotional state of a point-in-time emotional stress or in case of depression. This anti-stress effect is due to ß-carbolines. In addition, the regular use of Tribulus reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
